It looks to me like clean plastic pots are perfect for the Cyp.acule plant that I recently purchased. Only suggestion I could say, is that and 8" or maybe even 9" might be even better. I am now in the process of visiting The Morton Arboretum to chat with some experts to see what they might have to add. My wife and I have been members for over 20 years, from the days of the late, great, knowledgable Floyd Swink. I believe, you also most likely share much research from time to time with the arboretum staff. Of course, the primary mission of the arboretum is trees, but the Schulenberg Prairie has proven as valuable as the trees in the arboretum. Several native orchids have popped up with the passage of time in the prairie. Anyway, my Cyp. acule is yet strong and healthy. I basically let the plant tell me how it is doing, but I am going to the arboretum to chat regarding some clean, fresh, never sprayed with any sort of poison, to top-dress the potted Cyp.acule. And the potted Cyp. is checked nearly daily for the container of rainwater, as pure as possible, which I collect during showers and carefully store in clean jugs. Thus: So far, so good. But yet a long way to go for the newly potted Cyp. acule in the fresh, clean plastic pot.
